Our 3 Rooms Design Process
At 3 Rooms Design, we keep the process simple, stress-free, and focused entirely on you. Here’s what to expect when you work with us:
1. Initial Consultation
Your design journey begins in our Congleton kitchen and bedroom showroom or, if you prefer, with a home visit. We’ll discuss your ideas, inspiration, and priorities to get a clear understanding of what you want from your new space. You’re welcome to bring floor plans, photos, and wish lists, but if you don’t have these, we’ll happily take measurements and start from scratch.
2. Exploring Ideas in the Showroom
Our showroom is designed to inspire. Spread across three floors, it showcases the latest kitchens from Schüller, Next125 and Alku, as well as bespoke bedroom furniture and a vast library of samples. Here, you can browse:
- Over 100 kitchen door finishes — from soft matt textures to striking ceramic and gloss designs
- Worktops from Cosentino, Dekton, Silestone, Sensa, and bespoke natural stone
- Handles, lighting, tiles, and flooring samples
- Appliance displays from Siemens, AEG, Miele, Bosch, Caple, Quooker, and Fisher & Paykel
3. Concept Sketches & Layout Planning
Matthew takes a hands-on approach when it comes to design. Using an A3 sketch pad, he’ll draw out the shape of your kitchen or bedroom, incorporating your room dimensions, windows, and doors. Together, we’ll look at:
- The best layout for your space
- Storage solutions to suit your lifestyle
- Appliance placement for maximum functionality
- Lighting ideas to enhance the look and feel
- Island positioning and seating options (if applicable)
If we’re working on a bedroom, we’ll plan wardrobes, drawers, media units, and dressing areas to ensure every item has its place.
4. Bringing the Design to Life
Once we’ve agreed on the concept, we’ll create a detailed plan using our software so you can visualise exactly how your new room will look. You’ll see how finishes, appliances, and lighting come together, helping you make confident decisions.
5. A Flexible, Full-Service Approach
Every client is unique and whilst some want us to handle every detail, others prefer a more collaborative process. We can:
